Netball Learning Story.

Every Mondays and Fridays, the Corinna jade team have Netball trainings. When we train and play on the court I use my thinking skills to pass the ball to open players and it helps me to focus on playing properly. I can encourage the team to give it a go and try hard to win the game, I can do that by not rushing the play and by encouraging them.

I can listen to the referee when they blow the whistle if I or someone did something wrong, also I can take my time when I try and get a goal in so that I'm not just rushing it. I can do those things by playing fair and also by stopping and looking for open players.

When I sub on the sideline, I can cheer for our players so that they get there encouragement that they need, and also giving them advise, for example.. "There, look!, there's no one marking her, mark her!", and then they get the intercept, and get a gaol. When I do that I make sure that its respectfully done, by that I mean not being rude and being cocky when I say it etc....

I can play fair on the court, and share the ball around to make sure that everyone gets a hold of the ball. I can still play fair when our opponents are not, when their GK has to play the ball to get it down to the other end, i am able to get it back and get a goal which makes us 6 points ahead of them or maybe more.

I can call out for the ball, and defend our marking opponent so that they don't get the ball or an intercept. I can represent my School, Corinna, by not being being bad and by not playing ugly and feisty on the court, and also being cheeky and cocky on the court.

Next Steps: To take risk in getting the ball into the hoop, and also working on my footwork.
