Writing Learning Story

In Writing I have been learning how to write a narrative story. We had to write a story about how we felt when we received a letter about our son, brother, you, dad etc.. getting pulled out of the ballot, and how it felt if we were in the shoes of those soldiers.

When I was writing and editing my conscription story I knew where and when to add full stops, coma's, speech marks and so on.  I'm able to do those things by re reading and re checking my story to make sure that it makes sense and checked by some of the experts.

When we write our conscription stories we give each other feed back and next steps so that we could go back and fix up all our spelling mistakes, comas, full stops and others for where they need to be placed.

When I read my favourite authors books I sometimes look for a variety of good descriptive sentences on certain pages to give me ideas for my writing. When I write I can always add in the 5ws, to help my reader understand what I'm trying to let out.

I  can include lots of detail about War stories for all the books that I've read about it. I am able to group my ideas in paragraphs so that my reader will understand. I can paint a picture in someones head but also have next steps with it as well. I can do that by always showing a  learning buddy to check it.

I can add lots of adjectives, similes, metaphors, phrases etc... to make my writing interesting. I can do that by reading it to one of our buddy's and asking them if i added those things in. What I really like writing about is War because I now know lots and lots about it, and I love asking war questions and getting war answers.
