In Maths I have been learning to find efficient ways to solve problems. I was able to achieve it by working together as a team, sharing and explaining awesome ideas, always asking questions, and also making connections to things that I already knew.
I also have been learning how to use different kinds of strategies to check if my answer was right or not. I help my learning group if they don't understand the strategy that i tried by explaining it again.
I have also been practising my multiplication and division at home to help me solve Maths problems faster. I know most of my timetables now.
I am able to justify and explain my mathematical thinking by using strategies and evidence. When it comes to sharing our work I am confident to share my ideas and my brainy thinking with the class.
In Room 3 we do Literacy that involves mathematical thinking, we do reading that involves Mathematical thinking, we do writing the involves Maths, we sometimes try and include Maths in everything we learn.
I use my prior knowledge to help me solve problems faster.
I take risks even though I might not know what the question is asking me to do. I'm always willing to give everything a go in maths because I like maths, even when sometimes it can be a bit hard.
Maths is really fun because, if we get something wrong we can learn from our mistakes and teach lots of other people, also we get a chance to work together and it also helps to build up our relationships with one another (Friends).
